Dear Monkey Class Families, And just like that, we find ourselves at the end of Term 1. Time sure does fly when you're having fun, and what a blast we've had this term! As we wrap up Term 1, I wanted to extend a big thank you to all of you for your continuous love, support, and collaboration in helping each child achieve their personal best. I had so much fun today at the beach picnic, and my heart feels truly joyful as we head off for the Winter Break. We tried our best to capture a few moments of our time together, please click on the links below to view the photos, also please feel free to add any other photos you took, so we can share them with the whole Monkey Class community. Chinese--Exciting Christmas Activities in Class

Image
Dear parents and caregivers, As we approach Christmas, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support. Over the past two weeks, the children have been enthusiastically discussing the festival, sharing key vocabulary such as Christmas tree, presents, and Santa. It has been delightful to see their excitement as they share their prior knowledge and experiences. Through the story, "我喜欢圣诞节" (I Love Christmas!), the children have further reinforced their understanding of these important terms. They have also enjoyed making Christmas trees with doilies, adding a festive touch to our classroom. Additionally, we have learned a simple version of “Jingle Bells,” which you can find on the K1 Chinese learning slide. The children have been joyfully dancing and singing along, making our sessions even more enjoyable. I hope that as parents, you were able to witness firsthand how settled and content the school environment is for them. I must admit, I was a little apprehensive about how each child would react to the presence of parents and teachers together. However, I am delighted to share that each child did a remarkable job and has shown significant growth since your visit at the start of the school year transition period. During the 'Shared Learning Day' some children required time and encouragement to warm up and try new activities, while others confidently led their parents around the classrooms, exploring various areas briefly. Some children struggled to find an activity ...
